Jude Cole, long time friend of David's and former Warner Bros. records label mate in 80's, invited David to meet Kiefer Sutherland and see a pre-tour preview concert for Sutherland's new solo album "Down In A Hole" (co-written and produced by Cole,) at San Francisco's Great American Music Hall.

DP: "I told Kiefer that as a young man in my 20's I was always told I resembled this young actor named Kiefer Sutherland... and now decades later they tell me I resemble Guy Fieri on the Food Network, which Kiefer thought was pretty funny."

About the concert, David said "I told Kiefer I was very impressed by his bad-ass baritone aged-whiskey voice and Johnny Cash-like attitude; and the songs were really smokin' hot. I told him it was also totally brave and cool to cover Gordon Lightfoot's "Sundown" too and pull it off flawlessly. His attitude helped put everything across in a super authentic way."

Sutherland is co-star of current Zoolander 2 film with Ben Stiller; his legendary Jack Bauer character for TV show "24" ran for over a decade.
