DP: My old friend Michael Paulo called and asked for a favor several months back. He was re-booting his Temecula Wine and Music series that he did for 10 years. He's one of my favorite humans on the planet and a killer sax player - we've been friends since 80's.
And there were so many musicians I admired in the band he put together... some of jazz music's finest players. It was an honor to join with them on a fine September day. There's nothing like the loving support of a diverse jazz audience - people of all races, all colors, side by side on stage and in the audience, united by the joy of the music and the moment. I wish America could unite in the same way.
